Highlights

People keep asking me what my favorite part of the trip was.  I don't have a favorite place, but  . . . making memories with great people was my favorite part.  

For those living vicariously, here some of highlights from the trip (in no particular order):

• Visited with grandparents, aunts, uncles cousins and friends on 4 different continents and 19 different countries*  Using planes, trains, automobiles, boats and bikes.
• Hiked and camped in the Rockies, the Alps and the Andes.
• Sailed the Mediterranean (the Dalmatian coastline) - gorgeous!
• Drank and danced on tables at Oktoberfest
• Scubadived and rode elephants in Thailand
• Climbed the fjords of Norway
• Soaked up culture in Istanbul
• Biked through Belgium
• Hiked on a glacier
• Learned how to make goat cheese in rural France
• Saw a LOT of amazing waterfalls.  (Norway’s Discovery Route, Krka, Plitvicka, Iguazu, Route de Sieto Lagos)
• Climbed and then slid down a volcano
• Learned how to speak Spanish
• Made lots of new friends
• Ate lots of good food
• And got my swagger back . . .

I'm sad the trip is finished.  The last few months have been amazing.

Next stop: Home to Texas and the real world.
We'll see what Houston has to offer the next few months.
